Almost ready for quilting .. I will let a professional do it this time ...

A little something to cheer up my aunt and uncle .. in a difficult time ..

Yes I know I promised to only do my UFOs .. but this can not wait .. my uncle is sick .. now .. I will make a quilt size 140cm x 180cm .. it will keep him warm during the winter .. so I need to finish this in a few weeks .. each block is 30 x 30 cm .. so I will have to make 20 blocks .. and I will have a border to make it the right size .. I will also applique a something on the border .. in green and purple on it .. thats the plan anyway .. I want it to be a special gift for them .. I hope I can make it so ..

I Have too many unfinished projects .. I will not start anything new before half of them are gone .. or I should probably say done

These nine quilts are almost done .. I just need to quilt them .. and do some applique on a few .. before 2013 they all need to be finished .. or I will have problems making my husband understand why I need more fabric .. and more quilting stuff ; ))

Even more projects .. If I work hard every day from now on .. on these .. and of course my christmas quilts .. those I forgot about .. and I have lots of small projects also .. I have organized those also .. Im so clever .. today .. lets hope it lasts ; ))

Some inspiration for my next project ..

I have during one of my trips discovered the beauty of old scholl posters .. they are each like peaces of arts .. I want them ; ) .. but I cant .. its a museum .. so then I will make something that will remind me of them .. this is some of the stuff I made that reminds me of the colors that has been used on the birds .. well, the way I see it .. I will have to figure out how to put this into a quilt .. and I pretty much already have ; ) .. I have ordered some fabrics .. which takes forever to arrive .. fooorevvver !   This is my first use of Photo Editing .. it has taken me hours and hours .. and to much trouble .. I am getting there .. I just have to figure out how to straighten the pictures inside the frames .. so this is what you get for now ; ) .. It can only get better ... lets hope ; )

 

I took my mother for a trip to her childhood place .. I need to do it more often ..

Guddal is a small village a couple of hours and two ferryes from Bergen .. at the west part of Norway .. only a few farms lay here .. no buses .. no street lights .. and the sound of the River which divides the valley is so calming .. I love this place .. My mother is soon 82 years old .. her knees are a bit troubleing for her, but she is in good shape .. I promised her to take her for many trips to Guddal in the future ..

Its not easy to chose the right red colors for the borders ...

I have two more blocks that needs borders on .. but not now .. it has been a long quilting day ; )
